This breathtaking 1911-S $20 Saint Gaudens Gold Double Eagle has been rightly graded MS63 by NGC for its great condition and appearance. Well-struck devices stand out against warm golden fields; surfaces exhibit lovely mint luster with a beautiful honey-yellow glow. This Saint boasts a remarkable eye-appeal and will please any numismatic collector or investor.

Minted from 1907-1933, these $20 gold coins, known as St. Gaudens Double Eagles are considered by many to be the most beautiful type of U.S. coin ever minted. Augustus Saint-Gaudens was the first sculptor to ever design an American coin. In late 1905, President Theodore Roosevelt called upon the renowned American sculptor to redesign the U.S. $20 Gold Double Eagle coin. Roosevelt's desire was for American coins to be as beautiful as the coins of ancient Greece.
