Description

Outstanding original mint luster, sharp details and crisp devices, brilliant eye-appeal... Here is an especially beautiful 1924 $20 Saint Gaudens Gold Double Eagle, certified MS66+ by PCGS. This GEM graded Saint has very sharp well-defined features, including the peripheral lettering. The exquisitely-struck devices are complemented by radiant surfaces, glowing with brilliant original mint luster. There is a slight spot in the field under Liberty's right arm on the obverse (front). Overall a very attractive Double Eagle Gem with bright mint luster and remarkable eye appeal that any St. Gaudens collector is certain to appreciate.

According to current PCGS population reports, ONLY 92 Saints from this mintage have graded higher than this magnificent Gem. With the list price of the MS67 at $12,500, the MS66+ is the preferred Gem grade 1924 Double Eagle for most collectors and investors. The plus grade indicates that this 1924 Saint sits at the top of its grade.
