This 2008-W $5 Gold Buffalo Proof is an exquisite product of the West Point Mint! Graded PF70 Ultra Cameo by NGC, this Buffalo features softly-frosted, highly-detailed images that seem to float above the fields. Containing 1/10th ounce of 24-Karat Gold, this excellent 2008-W $5 Gold Buffalo is certain to please the most discerning numismatist or Gold collector.

Early Release coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. The use of these first dies typically results in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issue in order to be designated Early Release. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified Early Release during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
