This is an outstanding Set of 17 Gold Buffalo Proofs. This 17 coin set contains all Buffalo Gold Proofs minted from 2006-W – 2018-W, including the $5, $10, and $25 minted from 2008-W (the only year the U.S Mint produced Buffalo coins in denominations less than $50). This set also includes the 2013-W Reverse Proof. All 17 coins in this set have graded a perfect PR70DCAM (PR70 for the Reverse Proof) by PCGS. Most are also certified First Strike by PCGS, except the 2013-W Reverse Proof which is from the Chicago ANA special release and the 2016-W which is certified First Day of Issue.

These Buffalo Proofs are dazzling to behold. The frosty devices are razor sharp and the fields are satiny smooth and highly reflective. (The Reverse Proof features sharp mirror like devices and frosty fields.) These are stunning Gold Proofs from the West Point Mint and will be an excellent addition to any collection.

First Strike coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. Use of these first dies typically result in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issue in order to be designated First Strike. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Strikes during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
