A product of the West Point Mint, this 2012-W American Buffalo Proof features bold, strongly-struck devices on blazing gold fields. From the exquisite details on the devices to the shining flawless surfaces, this $50 Buffalo Proof is certain to please even the most discerning numismatist or gold collector.

First Strike coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. Use of these first dies typically result in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issue in order to be designated First Strike. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Strikes during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
