Minted from 1oz of 24-karat .9999 fine Gold, this exceptional Gold Buffalo Reverse Proof will make a valuable addition to any collection or portfolio.

2013 is the FIRST YEAR OF ISSUE (and possibly the ONLY issue) of the $50 Gold Buffalo Reverse Proof. Struck at the West Point Mint, this limited release commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the 1913 Buffalo Nickel. This is a very special issue, in breathtaking condition, which will be coveted by collectors for generations to come.

Early Releases coins are produced using the first die forged by the Mint, resulting in a high quality strike and very fine details. In order for a coin to be designated "Early Release" it must arrive for grading within the first 30-days of production. After that time, no additional coins can recieve this distinction, guaranteeing that their population will never increase! The Early Releases designation also ensures against any design changes that may occur throughout the year. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified Early Releases during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and beauty.

NGC graded coins are sonically sealed inside a plastic core piece that holds it securely within the transparent holder. A special label within the holder indicates the coin's certification number, grade, date, denomination, unique bar code and pedigree if applicable.
