2013 is the FIRST YEAR OF ISSUE (and possibly the ONLY issue) of the $50 Gold Buffalo Reverse Proof. Struck at the West Point Mint, this special limited release commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the 1913 Buffalo Nickel. This is an extremely rare issue, graded an impressive PF70 by NGC, that will be prized by collectors for generations to come.

"Early Release" coins are produced using the first die forged by the Mint, resulting in the highest quality strike and the finest detail possible! In order to for a coin to be designated "Early Release" it must arrive for grading within the first 30 days of production. After that time, no additional coins can receive this distinction, guaranteeing that their population will never increase! Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified "Early Releases" during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and beauty.

The coin pictured is the exact coin you will receive. A 2013-W $50 Gold Buffalo Reverse Proof, graded PF70 by NGC and certified Early Releases with Certification number 3732362-013. NGC graded coins are sonically sealed inside a plastic core piece that holds it securely within the transparent holder. A special label within the holder indicates the coin's certification number, grade, date, denomination, unique bar code and pedigree if applicable.
