This 2013-W $50 Reverse Proof Buffalo Early Releases is absolutely marvelous. Minted in 2013 at the West Point Mint to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Buffalo Nickel, this $50 Gold Buffalo Proof has been graded PF70 by NGC and certified Early Releases. With spectacularly luminous devices and frosty fields of flawless quality this Buffalo has incredible eye-appeal. Adding to the appeal of this Gold Buffalo is the special black retro holder by NGC.

2013 is the FIRST YEAR OF ISSUE (and possibly the ONLY issue!) of the $50 Gold Buffalo Reverse Proof. Struck at the West Point Mint, this special limited release commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the 1913 Buffalo Nickel.

In order for a coin to be designated "Early Release" it must arrive for grading within the first 30-days of production. After that time, no additional coins can receive this distinction, guaranteeing that their population will never increase! The Early Releases designation also ensures against any design changes that may occur throughout the year. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified Early Releases during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and beauty.

The coin pictured is the exact coin you will receive. A 2013-W $50 Gold Buffalo Reverse Proof, graded PF70 by NGC in a Retro Holder with Certification number 3793535-008. NGC graded coins are sonically sealed inside a plastic core piece that holds it securely within the transparent holder. A special label within the holder indicates the coin's certification number, grade, date, denomination, unique bar code and pedigree if applicable.
