Rare Mint Error, Struck 50% Off-Center, Plain 4 Variety, final year of mintage. This 1814 1c Classic Head Large Cent, certified Mint Error Good Details by NGC, is rare and historic. This 200+ year old Large Cent is of the Plain 4 variety and was struck off-center by 50%. The mint error is extremely rare for the time period and makes this Classic Head Large Cent even more desirable. This cent is absolutely unique as no off-center strike is exactly the same. This is truly a collector’s item.

From an original 1814 Philadelphia mintage of just over 350,000 only a small percentage has survived. This Struck Off-Center Mint Error is even more uncommon and will appeal to error collectors. This cent also has the distinction of being from the Mervis Collection, an impressive pedigree that will have significant meaning to pedigree collectors.
