Graded a perfect PR70 DCAM First Strike by PCGS this 2008-W $10 Gold Eagle Proof is extraordinary. Featuring mirror like and reflective surfaces. The devices are sharply-struck with exquisite high-point detail throughout. The fields on this perfect 2008-W Gold Eagle proof are pristine and offers outstanding contrast against the crisp devices.

This 1/4 ounce Gold Proof Eagle is also very rare. Current PCGS population shows ONLY 33 graded as high as PR70 Deep Cameo First Strike.

First Strike coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. Use of these first dies typically result in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issue in order to be designated First Strike. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Strikes during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
