This is a lovely 1861 $2.50 Liberty New Reverse (also known as Type 2) Gold Quarter Eagle graded MS62 by PCGS. The devices are well struck and display very nice details. The surfaces shine with beautiful original mint luster. There are some coppery spots on the reverse, which can be seen in the pictures. This is a fantastic choice $2.50 Gold Liberty Head with ample eye-appeal.
