Presenting a very scarce 2009 $20 Ultra High Relief graded MS70PL Early Release by NGC. This extremely rare and highly sought after coin has not been available at auction for over 5 YEARS. This is an ideal selection for the discerning Gold type collector and will absolutely captivate the interest of any savvy investor. Produced in 2009 as a tribute to the original 1907 High Relief $20 Saint Gaudens, this 1 ounce 24KT .9999 fine Gold coin was struck multiple times under extreme pressure by the U.S. Mint in order to provide one of the strongest strikes possible. This process gives the UHR magnificent 3-D like devices, extraordinary details, and tremendous eye-appeal.

Adding to the desirability of this Ultra High Relief is the prestigious Early Release designation from NGC as well as the Proof Like distinction. The Early Release designation can only be awarded to coins that were released from the Mint within the first 30-days of sale. No additional 2009 UHR submitted to NGC can receive this designation, which makes this Ultra High Relief an incredible rarity. Furthermore, although the U.S. Mint had not intended to produce the 2009 Double Eagle with Proof Like surfaces, some coins that were released did exhibit the exquisite surface. Because of this, Ultra High Relief coins with the Proof Like distinction are highly collectible.

Both the Early Release and Proof Like designations on this Ultra High Relief make it one of the rarest known specimens out there, with ONLY 13 IN EXISTENCE! In fact, this NGC graded UHR Early Release is much rarer than the similarly graded PCGS MS70PL First Strike, which has a population of more than 5 times that of the NGC MS70PL Early Release. This coin is the absolute epitome of perfection!
