Struck in 24-karat Gold and graded MS70PL by NGC, this 2009 (MMIX) Ultra High Relief $20 Gold Double Eagle is simply breathtaking. The devices stand out with a three dimensional appearance and the smooth fields are semi-reflective. This Proof Like Double Eagle has gorgeous eye-appeal.

The UHR Double Eagle is the modern version of the 1907 $20 Saint Gaudens coin. Augustus St. Gaudens had always intended for his coinage to be Ultra High Relief, however the technology was just not there. In 2009, the US Mint used the original Saint design (with a few modifications) to show off the technological advances in the minting process. The 2009 Ultra High Relief is considered a masterpiece and is especially desirable to collectors.

The coin pictured is the actual coin you will receive: A MMIX Ultra High Relief Double Eagle, graded MS70PL by the professionals at NGC with certification number 3110153-002. NGC graded coins are sonically sealed inside a plastic core piece that holds it securely within the transparent holder. A special label within the holder indicates the coin's certification number, grade, date, denomination, unique bar code and pedigree if applicable.
