This 2008-W $5 Burnished Gold Eagle is graded MS70 by PCGS and is certified First Strike. The devices are sharp and the fields are smooth. This American Gold Eagle has excellent details and is an outstanding investment coin.

First Strike coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. The use of these first dies typically results in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issuance to be designated First Strike. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Strikes during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
