Here is a gorgeous 2016 $50 Gold Buffalo graded MS70 First Strike by PCGS with the special 10th Anniversary label. This 1 oz Buffalo features sharp, well-struck devices, smooth fields and bright lustrous surfaces. This is a splendid American Gold Buffalo coin that will make a valuable addition to any collection or portfolio.

First Strike coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. Use of these first dies typically result in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issue in order to be designated First Strike. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Strikes during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
