Here is a 2016-W $50 American Gold Buffalo Proof that is graded PR70DCAM First Strike by PCGS with the James Earle Fraser label. It features a razor sharp strike and pristine mirror like fields.

First Strike coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. Use of these first dies typically result in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issue in order to be designated First Strike. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Strikes during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
