Here is a 2012-W $50 Gold Eagle graded MS70 by NGC and is certified First Releases. This Gold stunner exhibits blazing original mint luster. It features beautiful, satiny-smooth surfaces and clear, creamy fields. A product of the West Point Mint, this Burnished American Eagle displays devices that are powerfully-struck, resulting in excellent high-point detail throughout.

First Release coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. Use of these first dies typically result in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issuance to be designated First Release. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Release during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
