Description

This is a perfect 2015-W Burnished American Gold $50 Eagle coin, from the West Point Mint graded MS70 by NGC and certified Early Releases. Featuring sharp details, crisp devices, satin-smooth fields, and brilliant surfaces, this beautiful 1oz Burnished Gold Eagle will make a valuable addition to any collection or portfolio.

Burnished coins are made with a proof die but without the proof polish, which gives the coin a sharper strike and exceptionally strong details but without the mirror like reflective surfaces of a proof coin. Additionally burnished coins are harder to find as they typically have smaller mintages.

Early Release coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. Use of these first dies typically result in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issue in order to be designated Early Release. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified Early Release during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
