This original roll of Peace Silver Dollars contains 20 coins in uncirculated condition. Each of these mint condition coins is fully struck and with a dazzling, lustrous shine. Ungraded, in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, these Peace Dollars look almost as lustrous and shiny as the day they first rolled off the press over 90 years ago. Each of these Silver Dollar coins is a rarity, in uncirculated condition, with the potential to grade as high as Mint State 60 to 63.

To obtain designs for the coin, the federal Commission of Fine Arts arranged a competition involving a small group of the nation's finest medalists. The winner was a young Italian immigrant named Anthony de Francisci, whose finely chiseled portrait of Liberty was modeled after his young wife Teresa. The reverse of the coin shows an eagle in repose atop a crag, peering toward the sun through a series of rays, with the word PEACE superimposed on the rock. No other U. S. coin produced for circulation has ever borne that motto.

These Peace Dollars are in BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) condition, meaning they were never circulated in society and thus show no signs of wear like circulated coins. They have a sharp strike, bold devices, and smooth fields. Generally retaining their full original mint luster and exhibiting minimal bag marks or abrasions, these beautiful pieces of historical U.S. coinage have excellent eye-appeal and make a fine addition to rare coin collections or precious metal investment portfolios. Trading for only small premiums over their precious metal melt value, BU coins are perfect for investors and collectors wanting to add fine rare coins to their holdings while avoiding the higher cost of Choice graded examples.

It is VERY HARD to find original rolls like the ones featured here! Although millions of Peace Dollars were minted, only a small percentage remains today! All 20 of these Peace Dollars are original. Better condition rolls like these are often broken up by dealers who sell them as individual coins. Each of these silver coins is a rarity, in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
