Description

This 1799/8 15 Stars Reverse $1 Draped Bust Heraldic Eagle Dollar is a handsome example in the AU50 designation, as graded by NGC. In keeping with the grade, this About Uncirculated Dollar shows slight wear with no serious distractions present. Hues of violet and indigo bounce off the surfaces when held at certain angles. The details are very nicely defined, especially for a circulated dollar with 215+ years of age. This Heraldic Eagle Draped Bust Dollar has great eye-appeal and is an excellent investment coin.

This Philadelphia minted Draped Bust Silver Dollar is also very scarce. The 15 Stars Reverse variety rarely comes to market graded as high as AU50. In fact, from an original mintage of over 420,000 NGC has only graded 10 in AU50 condition.
