Here is a magnificent 1880-S $1 Morgan Dollar graded an impressive MS68 by PCGS and is CAC certified. This Morgan features impeccably smooth fields that shine with dazzling original mint luster. The devices are very crisp with sharp details, especially in the hair. There is some very light russet toning on the surfaces. This Silver Dollar will appeal to any collector looking for a high end beauty.

Current PCGS pop shows ONLY 5 graded MS69 with a list value of $39,000 and NONE higher, making this MS68 1880-S Morgan Silver Dollar the preferred Gem grade of discerning numismatists and investors.

What makes this coin even more valuable, coveted, and in higher demand is the early generation PCGS original green holder, referred to as OGH. Because they were graded during a more conservative period of PCGS' history most OGH coins are in superior condition to their counterparts. OGH coins have been known to upgrade one, sometimes even two grades, if resubmitted to PCGS. As a result of the more conservative grading standards and upgrade possibilities, coins in OGH holders typically command prices averaging about 20% higher than their contemporary counterparts.
