Introducing a superb 1885-CC $1 Morgan Silver Dollar with exquisite eye-appeal and important significance to the numismatic community. Graded an impressive MS67 by PCGS, this superior Carson City Dollar is CAC certified, PQ Approved, in a PCGS original green holder, and from the Ralph and Lois Stone Collection.

Ralph Stone was known in the numismatic community for his intense focus on gem mint state coins. His collection, though never viewed or known in its entirety before the Sotheby’s Auction in May 2018, consisted of some of the most beautiful mint state gem rarities. His collection ranks among some of the best, such as Jack Lee and the Coronet Collection.

This magnificent Morgan Dollar, with its blast white surfaces and sublime mint luster, is in a PCGS Original Green Holder. This signifies that the coin was graded during the formative years of the Professional Coin Grading Service, which most view as a more conservative period of grading, thus leaving the potential for upgrading if resubmitted. This particular Morgan is a Generation 3.1, a holder that was utilized from 1993-1998. It has not been professionally looked at for 20-25 years.

Fantastically sharp devices and smooth, clean surfaces adorn this first-class Silver Morgan rarity, contributing to its PQ Approved sticker and CAC certification. It is extremely gorgeous. It is also extremely rare. PCGS has graded ONLY 90 at MS67 with ONLY 5 higher, 4 at MS67+ and 1 at MS68. CAC has only certified 30 from the MS67 or MS67+ grade.

This utterly attractive Morgan Silver Dollar, from the Stone Collection, had previously never been offered to the public before the Sotheby’s Auction of May 2018. It commanded a price of $15,000 for its enchanting cartwheel shine, beaming white surfaces, and tremendously sharp devices.
