Description

From an ultra-rare SEMI-KEY DATE mintage, this 1901-S Morgan Dollar is simply spectacular and graded an exceptionally high MS66 grade by PCGS. This outstanding Silver rarity features satiny fields which set a magnificent backdrop for a dazzling cartwheel shine. High point details abound and the devices are amazingly crisp. A hint of soft amber toning gently graces the upper portion of the obverse, while an even subtler shade of pale russet splashes across the reverse.

Current PCGS population shows that from the original 1901-S mintage of over 2.2 million Morgans, ONLY 37 have graded as high as MS66 and ONLY 3 have graded higher, all at MS67.

An added BONUS FEATURE of this beautiful Morgan is the PCGS Secure Plus Service. The PCGS Secure Plus process uses laser scanning to help detect coins that have been artificially enhanced since their last certification and to combat excessive re-submissions.
