Description

Presenting a Set of 2 2007-W Platinum Eagle Proofs. This set includes $50 Deep Cameo Proof graded PR70DCAM by PCGS and $50 Reverse Proof graded PR70 by PCGS. Both of these coins are certified First Strike by PCGS. Each of these coins is 1/2 ounce of .9995 platinum and celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the American Platinum Eagle Series.

The Reverse Proof features a sharp strike, smooth fields, and mirrored devices. The DCAM Proof features a sharp strike, crisp devices, and smooth, reflective fields.

First Strike coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. The use of these first dies typically results in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issuance to be designated First Strike. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Strikes during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
